The Saltiest!
Just did some playing around with my new nikon and new vortech mp10 thanks to RandyO. Took me a while to dial in, but I got my wave.

First person to guess my lighting setup gets a sticker, maybe even a cookie.

If I had to guess I'd say LeD. Maybe a dozen? The easiest guess would be three sets of powerbrites? Two blue and one white?

Not surethough, the Blackberry Curve commercial has me all thrown off, lol.

Whatever it is, the colors look great! What camera did you get? D90?

Bingo on the powerbrite combo, I got a brand new in box 4 year old coolpix 8800 VR for $150 shipped on ebay.

I have a nanotuners 20K par38 with 80* optics on order.

I figured I would try this combo after reading numerous posts on different forums about how powerbrites aren't strong enough to grow anything, or their too spotty, etc etc. An orange cap I put in there 10 days ago has already gone from quarter size to silver dollar size. My hammer and my candy canes have already added new heads. Everything has gained really intense color. The only coral that hasn't really excelled is the green tipped toad stool. The Par38 should be here friday or monday apparently. I'm going to give the 10k powerbrite to a good friend of mine just starting up my old 14g biocube. I'll run the 20k par38 with 2 actinic powerbrites. I'm so excited to see the greens pop under that combo.

I spent a lot of time playing with the white balance to try and get these as accurate as possible. I left the flow on so they all have a little motion blur.

Just arrived nanotuners 20k par38 LED ONLY (Holy crap, it really is the same as a 150w metal halide)

I love this new light, the quality is amazing for the price.

I had to move some things around and shut the light off because both of my euphyllia starting expelling zooanthellae. This is the 80* optics version too, the least intense...

i was gonna say, do i get a cookie (chocolate chip?) to guess it right even if you told me already? looks killer, killer. a bit blue but it could be the camera. are the 80 optics too wide for your tank? or does it fit perfectly?

Yea, Kyle. The white balance on the powerbrite and par38 bulb photo is off, its not the blue. The other ones are pretty spot on. You can come and see for yourself Sunday night if you want.

i just may stop by later tonight after everything is said and done.

but for now before everyone comes over for easter... time to wash and wax my baby.

ps. those nuke greens really really glow in that light
