I agree the mp10 will most likely help. Are you going to keep the one pump in there also?

I really hope so! But I'm not sure... I was thinking about putting it in the skimmer section of my sump to keep things in the water column... But maybe I will keep it in the tank.

That could work, extra food for the corals. When are you getting the mp10?

Well, I put 100 on it 3 weeks ago for when my LFS got it in, but they are still waiting on the hatchery to place the order so it should be here in a week or so. I WANT IT. I have also come to the conclusion that I am going to give the AI SOL Blue about a year and if I dont have any good sps success I'm gonna sell it and go with a halide + T5 combo. But I still have a lot of adjusting to do before I make it an option.

Gotcha, tell those guys to hurry up with it!:)

I think that's a good approach, to let everything adjust to the led. I think you'll do great. BUT I do love me some halide + t5. My mm my favorite:)

Good stuff! I hope they adjust it's just really hard with sps and led... I hope they do though

I have come to the conclusion that I am being way to cautious when it comes to the intensity of the lights so I am about to start ramping them up 5 percent per week. I have seen many tanks grow sps well with led's so i think it is time to say I need to make sure it isnt lights first that is browning cause im pretty sure it isnt nutrients or flow. I will post an update of my sump, made a few changes and added a set of dosers to keep alk and cal spot on all the time!

here is a little update. Picked up three new guys yesterday. A red planet acro, an echinata and some other acro. Here you go with some updated pictures.

looks nice, but the pictures are a little dark, any chance you could either change some settings on the camera or with a little editing afterwards? Very curious to see more of your colors instead of the dramatic dark profile picture :)

Yeah I just always take pictures around noon instead of waiting till 3-4 when my lights are on its most intense setting. I will post more tomorrow. I need a new lens to get some better pics but ill get better pics together! Sorry about that. Im still messing with lighting schedule so colors in the sps aren't the best, but will be getting better!

I am finally getting ahold of this lighting schedule, things look to be holding color better and it could still probably use another 10 t0 15 percent. We will see as the next week goes on. But here I tried my best with the camera I have to get better pictures during its whiter light period of the schedule. Hope you like them!

Is the clam a derasa? These pictures look much better:) colors are much more alive. I've always had trouble with birds nest corals, hopefully yours makes a turn around!

It is! I love it! It's a nice looking clam! But thank you! It will turn around I know it. Just will take time. We will see though!

Edit: I reposted this because tapatalk sucks and can't quote, i dont know why it doesnt work.

Very nice, I plan on getting a maxima or a squamosa/crocea hybrid. Probably not for a while. Yours looks like its got some good growth on it. Got any tips for clams? I've never had the opportunity to have one so I gotta do some research!

No matter what clam it is, put a rock under it and let it attach. Then of they like substrate, put them in the substrate, if not, but them in the rock somewhere. They do best with high lighting, and they will grow really well with really steady calcium and alkalinity. They aren't really that hard to take care of. I give my tank amino acids and marine snow twice a week, so the clam probably filters a bunch of that and gets good growth out of it. If anything get way out of wack though they will struggle, I had that happen to my first one. I had a rodi problem and it dropped my salinity from 1.025 to 1.017. It didn't survive that
