35g stockinng time!!!!!!

its like christmas in summer!! So I have my CUC going (about 15 snails and 10 hermits). I didn't plan on that many hermits actually but the guy tossed in a few extra. Cleaner shrimp zipping around, and a couple frags of Zoa's and shrooms i will be picking up this next week. I was planning on waiting a week or two until everything acclimates and I have my water in check... seems to be pretty solid right now, but then again i don't have anything consuming the elements really. Now for questions before i plan my attack. I get mixed reaction about 6 lines... I felt like every other person loved them, then the more i read on, the more I heard about what little S&^# they were. BUT i think they are rad so are they worth it?? I was also curious about having multiple types or gobies or basslets. if i have lets say a yashia goby and a randalls goby would they fight (colors /shape)... would a couple pistol shrimp alleviate tension so they can just hang out in their holes. How about bassletts/firefish/dottybacks? would a springeri pseudo be ok with a sunrise dottyback? i know firefish and firefish will fued in only 35g but saying as choices are pretty limited in 35g, there are only a few groups to choose from.

Clearly ill have to pick and choose only a few but this is my list so far of potential tank mates... now to figure out the best group!! any input would be greatly apprecitated..

First I'd say that you should stick to one Goby. There are a few that get along, but for the most part having more than one in a smaller tank will be WWIII. Same goes for basslets and grammas. The dottybacks could go after each other too. Six Lines are little bast***s and I wouldn't want to keep one in a small tank. I know you said you know you can't keep all the fish together, but I'd stick to one of each of the types and I'd probably nix the six line. Just my two cents. Other more peaceful wrasses may be good additions to the list, but keep in mind that many of them require larger tanks than you have.

Yea, maybe a peaceful variety of ocellaris or something... then i'll have the itch for an anemone the whole time though haha... but 35g is a little "snug". ALL RIGHT I HAVE CHANGED MY MIND.... im starting over with a 125g! jk

Yea I really like the idea of the goby/pistol. I was thinking that would be one of the first i get saying as I like the yashia goby most and he is pretty small. Let the pair get situated first. The Flaming goby just looked too rad not to check it out but i agree.

I only have a 35g so I definitely wont be getting an angel... even the drawf angels will be cramped.

I had Cherub angel doing great in my 40g breeder for years. Maybe you are right, anything except the smallest of the dwarf angels would be too big.

black cap basslet - should be fine, gets larger than a royal gramma
circus goby - should be fine
Firefish ( I like all types really) - any is fine but only one
Flaming prawn goby (seems bad *** if I could find one!) - as stated, hides quite a lot and probably would not be seen
Orchid dottyback - this may not work with a firefish, almost definitely not with the basslet
rainfords goby - can be difficult, either nix this or wait until the tank is very well established
randalls goby - w/ pistol shrimp
six line wrasse - not a good mix with the little peaceful guys you are planning
spiringeri pseudo - see above ^
sunrise dottyback - see above ^
swiss guard basslet - I don't know, probably not great with another basslet though
tailspot blenny - excellent little peaceful blenny
yashia goby - w/ pistol shrimp - this or the randalls, not both

Ideally, with the little fish you're looking at, you will probably end up aiming at something like 4-6 fish. A nice list of the above: firefish, black cap basslet, shrimp/goby pair, tailspot blenny, circus goby. You've got a lot of different behaviors and personalities in that grouping.

Also look at a pygmy / possum wrasse. They are nice little guys with cool personalities. Ditto for neon gobies (a neon goby can be in addition to the other two listed).

Edit: Stocking order - most peaceful first. With your above list, I tend to think it wouldn't matter except having the basslet last.
