36gallon minimalist aquascaping question

I am considering TBS rock and sand for my new Elos Midi build. I want to do a minimalist aquascape with this build. The Midi is a 36 gallon tank, dimensions of 22.5"x19.7"x19.1". I am thinking of two distinct islands with a couple ledges. How many pounds of TBS rock would I need for such an aquascape? I was looking at 'The Package' deals they offer but the one for for a 35 gallon tank has 70lbs of LR which is way too much for a minimalist scape. So how many pounds of TBS would work for a minimalist scape? I don't want to get a huge amount of rock and then have no where to put it.

If you can sort of design out your aquascape and determine the approximate size of the rocks you would need to build it, I bet Richard would be able to work with you to get rocks that would work well. He's good like that!
