[/IMG]water level started dropping when i put the new skimmer in the sump and fired it up.

I decided to use full size ceramic floor tiles to cover the bottom to protect the rubberize-it and the epoxy coating. At this time I have no intention of putting in sand.

wow looks amazing!!!! I had thought about using the liquid rubber to build a custom sump but I chickened out!!! I envy you for giving this a shot!

very nice build. I will eventually build a plywood tank when I get a house that I know I will be in for a long time. Question did you see any deflection in your tank when you filled it up? and if not is there any now? and did you measure your tank so that way through time you can check to see if you have any deflection? Also what made you use the rubberized cloth for the corners? I have been trying to do as much research on plywood tanks as I can and I see a lot of people fiberglass there corners for added strength. Love the tank very pretty.

Looking really nice. You're much braver than I am.

I'm getting nervous thinking of cutting some plywood this weekend for our frag and quarantine tank stands :(

Hatcher2014 yes i did have deflection on the front so i added a 4" u shaped brace across the front and about half the length on the sides. Now I cant see any deflection at all on the front, as for the back panel i have it placed against the wall. The cloth stiffens up once the rubber has dried. I have not had a single leak since i filled it the first time. It has been going since Sept. I am constantly leaning across the top on the front and sides while doing maintenance no creaks heard. I did put white ceramic tiles on the bottom to protect the rubber and epoxy membrane from rocks falling. I have a bare bottom at this time. I will say a tank this large is difficult to clean the detrius out.all in all im pleased with how the tank turned out. Any other questions you might have please ask.
