Well, I am in the need of a QT/grow out tank, and my wife would like to move the anemones out of the bedroom â€"œ here is what I have come up with for a solution!

The top tank (39g) will be the new home for the RBTA (rose bubble tip anemone) and PLTA (purple long tenicle anemone), and hopefully the new happy couple â€"œ GSM (gold stripe maroon) clowns. I am trying to add a new male!
The bottom tank (29g â€"œ thanks Joe!) will be the sump / frag rack. Mostly for SPS backups and sellable stuff!
Drain -The over flow drain from 39g will go down and t into the refugium (aqua clear 110 modified) and a skimmer. Then they will both dump into the 29g.
Return - a Rio 3100 will do the work, I will add a “T†right after the pump. This will allow me to have a branch into the 29g, and the return to the top. The flow to the top will be limited to low. The “T†into the 29g will take the remaining flow.
Refugium â€"œ A modified Aquaclear 110 will be used for the system. I know it should be bigger, but anything will help! It still works like a filter with a pickup and dumps out. I will direct feed it from the drain â€"œ one less pump!
Skimmer - most likely hang-on (anyone have one cheap â€"œ no pump needed!) I found a small sea-life skimmer that might work out, but will take up room from the rack!
Seperating tanks â€"œ If I have to treat the SPS tank, I will be able to be move the refugium up to the 39g, and shut off the return pump. Then i will add a PH to the 39g to get more flow (the aquaclear still works like a filter).
Lighting â€"œ
29g - sump/frag will have a 175w DE MH and will keep my eye out for a pair of 24†PC’s
39g â€"œ will have 3 or 4 24†VHO’s and cheap fluorescent bulbs
plumbing â€"œ will “T†off the return pump, side branch into the 29g with a spray bar, through will go up to 39g to a spray bar. I will have a valve on both sides of the “T†to control flow to the top tank. The drain will come from the overflow to another “T†that will split into the refugium and skimmer, also with valves to each. Both then dumping into the 29g sump.

39g - anemone tank will have the sand and live rock, along with the clowns and anemones, this will be the main display.
29g â€"œ will have the return pump, heater, modded MJ600 powerhead, hang-on skimmer (anyone have one for sale cheap!?), refugium and frag rack - which will be as big as possible and still get everything in there! I will have doors protecting this tank from the little ones, since it is so close to the ground! Might put a plexiglass window in each door to see the frags growing! No sand, No liverock, will add a few small fish like a wrasse and maybe couple damsels/chromis â€"œ not sure.
