My bio load will be very light as Im having just the one fish. I've been reading up that people have run Siporax in a plastic tub in the sump for the extra colonisation of bacteria so that is my plan if need be. The tank won't be stocked with anything for about 2-3 months yet if not longer. I'll be taking it nice and slow and checking everything

Tank is now full and up and running. Just blasting the rock to free any detritus and that's about as exciting as it will be for a while :)

Just a quick update, the tank has been running really well and all has gone a lot better than I expected. Started dosing 3 weeks ago and all levels have not moved since I started, no3 and po4 have come down to exactly where I want them to be so seeming as though I have a tank full of frags just waiting to be cut I thought it was about time to run a test to see where I'm at. My fish arrives in the next couple of days so everything is coming together nicely :)

The simple, lateral-favoring tanks are my favorite. Well done and can't wait for the tank to be fully stocked!

I really like the rock work and the bare bottom. Great work

Thank you :)

Thank you I can't wait to start stocking either but this is just a test for now, if these work out well then I will pull them out and return them as frags to the other tank and start stocking with some of the pieces I've collected already

U end up running siporax? Tank looks great!

Hi Brent thank you, no I didn't end up using Siporax I have been speaking with some friends that run very similar method and they seem to think along the same thing I do is that with only 1 fish I really shouldn't have an issue, but that's still No1 on my list if need be :)

That's awesome buddy:beer:
I just pictured it having many many corals on the rocks and it looked sooo natural.;)
This aquascape will show it's true shape as soon as the corals grow!
After all...the best aquascapes in my tanks were made by the corals themselves as they grew!
Thanks for sharing scott!

Thank you Mike :) once it all comes together I hope it will turn out well. Managed to pick up my Red Sea Regal today but so far he's being a bit shy  while I was at my LFS I couldn't resist and snapped up a couple of really nice colonies that were exactly what I'm looking for so I'll throw some pics up
