Thanks Mike :D I really like that one too and it was the perfect piece for that spot as it would hide the pipe that's holding the rock up. I can't wait to see the Regal out and about either they are really beautiful fish. Whilst acclimating him in a bucket he was spitting water at the kids they thought it was great :lmao:

lol, well this fish has already shown that he has great personality:)
I'd find him a cool name taking under consideration that event:D

Good to hear my fiancé isn't the only one that loves to name fish Mike :) but we have a rule no naming of any fish for 3 weeks until they are happy and healthy again ;)

Whaaaaaat??
I'm not the only one?:lmao:

But tbh you are much bolder than me buddy, buddy!
Not only i won't name them too, until they reach some weeks in the tank....i don't take pics too:rolleyes:
Is he eating?

No you are definitely not alone :lmao:
I haven't got him to eat yet mate but he's been grazing off the rockwork. I'm going to go get a nice spongey piece of LR tomorrow to tie him over until I can get him to take prepared foods. He is being one of the more difficult fish that I've had to get to eating but my fingers are crossed as he's a beautiful specimen :)

Can't wait for a close up:)
Have you tried bloodworms?
What are you trying to feed him?

Yea mate I've tried pretty much everything and I've spent the last few nights reading up on what the best foods are to get them to start eating. I'm just about at my wits end but I will persist! He's a very healthy looking specimen which is the main reason I bought him :( he isn't a Red Sea Regal either but due to his health I decided to go with him knowing that they are a hard fish to get eating and the healthier he was the better chance I stood of getting him through his non eating stage :headwally:

I've had several Regals. I have never had one turn down a FRESH mussle/clam/oyster. I have also had exceptional results with PE mysys (other brands are not effective in enticing a picky regal to eat). Also try NLS pellets. When you feed, turn off the power heads, and leave the room (or just make sure the fish can't see you).

Thank you for your helpful advice :) I tried a fresh Mussle last night before I saw your message with some success as he starting picking at it so hopefully he keeps it up :bounce1:

Thanks again Scott

Great news scott:)
Happy to read that!

Thank you Mike :) hopefully he keeps it up and I can wein him onto frozen because I'm having to leave the Mussells in for a decent amount of time and it's not really doing much for water quality :lmao: but that doenst worry me I can get that back pretty easily, I'd rather have home eating :)

Happy to say I have my regal eating frozen food for the last few days just took some persistence, definitely one of the harder fish I've had to get eating, he's 4" and fat and healthy so hopefully I can keep him eating

All my frags have been doing well with no loss of colour, so I decided to bring over the pieces I had been collecting that were in my other tank. I took the pics they aren't the best photos :)

Those smooth skinned acros look super cool, never seen a single one of those types for sale so i'll settle for watching you work your magic and follow your progress.
