3rd Pump that stop working (Osmolator)

Roger,
I had bought 3 pumps for my Osmolator in the past two years, they all stop working with no reason. I think that all had manufacturing problems. Do you have similar cases with this pump (Part N 5000.020)? Do you have any warranty for this products?

Thanks,

My hunch would be the pumps are fine and you have a controller that is more than 3 years old and has a lower shut off point for pump draw. 3 years ago we changed the pumps to have a dual oring and be more durable and the controller was beefed up as well to handle the higher draw of the new pump. A new pump will only work on an old controller at 9V and with good clean connections. At 12V it will cause the internal thermal fuse to break contact with the pump and the pump will slow to a stop within a few seconds of coming on. You can always test a pump by connecting the bare wires to a 9v battery, while it isn't conclusive if it runs, it would be conclusive if it doesn't. If it runs, it may still be starting to fail and drawing more current than a controller will allow.

Roger, I tested the 3 pumps with a 9v baterry and nothing happens. The controller has approx a year old. Then I think I am right and the pumps had factory problems. What do you think?

I would say so, that is strange, assuming the pumps weren't used with any harsh additive and no long strands of hair or thread may have snagged in the pump and bound them up, they must have had a defect. If you PM me your info we will get the last one replaced.
