First of all thanks to all for the great turn out. Any many thanks to Jin for the use of the tank and light as well as the coral and gift certs :fun2:

We had some left over coral so if you are missing anything please contact me so I can return it.

Below are a few pictures of the event.

Thank you Gary for setting up a great auction. If anyone thought that they bought a frag from me and didn't get it, or if you would like to come see my tank and buy or trade corals, or if any of the corals I sold you die or brown out, send me a PM and we can work something out. Almost all of my corals can be fragged again soon, so feel free to contact me. I want everyone to be happy with their purchases. Can't wait to do it again. Tim Barrett.

It was very nice meeting you all. Even though I am not into the hobby, I still had a great time! Hope everyone was happy with the beautiful array of different color brown corals. :p
Hope to see you all again soon.

My wife does not know brown from red but she sure knows when the brown corals sale for green $

Was fun! Maybe next time I'll be able to bid! Almost got stand completely done in 4 hours (except for plywood)

Also want to say thanks to Nick for BBQing and to Shauna for running the computer. And to everyone who brought food, snacks and drinks. If I missed anyone thank you as well :)

Thanks Smith Family for hosting us, we had a blast. Erika and April had fun even though they had to take off a little early. That was one good dorito! (funny pic of me) The red coral jokes still have me laughing. Such a subtle inside reef joke but so funny and true :) . Thanks to everyone for coming it was good meeting people with a common passion. In the end I left super happy with some awesome trades. We should be moving studios soon and will have a large space to be able to host the event in the next few months.

In the meantime, I look forward to keeping up with everyone here.

Best,
Andrew

Did you find your last coral ?

No Gary, I didn't. I didn't see anything out of what was left that I would have bid on. I thought I bid on a Ricordia, but i'm not 100% sure. It kind of happens a lot at my age :sad2: Anyway, my bad, I should have taken a picture with my phone or wrote it down. Bottom line, I had a great time and that was certainly worth a small coral frag. I left your home in good spirits and was very glad I was there.

If it helps strike a memory you bought 2 at 30.00 2 at 15.00 and one at 10.00.

The 2 green ricordia's went to me at 5.00 each ( I was shocked they went that low) and the orangish one went for 20.00 I think. Do not feel bad as I too can not figure out one of the coral I had bid on and I am only 38 :)

Next time we will have to figure out a better way to keep track of the corals.

If you are in the area stop by and I will let you pick a coral I have to make up for the one that was lost.

Glad you had a great time even with the mix up.

I know someone still needs a Rainbow Birdsnest (Bird of Paradise?). I have many branches I could frag. If you want to come down you can pick an extra coral, or I can choose one and bring it to ABQ with me. Just call or PM me.
