Like many other hobby, our one have is rarities and ''holy grail'' specimens...and there is always people welling to pay for this kind of specimen. If they can afford it, why not?:spin1:

They live in the inner matrix of corals and rock...hard to collect...but there have been a few around recently...

Rareness, just like anything else, commands a premium price. A scarf Elvis wiped his sweat with will sell for $5000. (I wonder what "THE toilet seat would fetch at auction)?

Google the scientific name instead of the common name; you'll always find what you want. DD & LA always provide both.

I got somfing you don't got......but I bet it dries out on the carpet just like a Royal Gramma would--that would be the start of a BAD day me thinks.

I would cry for many reasons and on multiple levels if this fish died. Does any have any clue on the lifespans on these things.

B-Box out of Japan was offering theirs at $8500 so this one through Live Aquaria seems like a bargain. I understand people that enjoy the rarer items out there. If you look outside of the aquarium industry you'd be surprised how much money some animals sell for. Look at the reptiles industry. Only a few years ago some Python morphs were fetching 6 figure price tags.
