I'm setting up a custom 185G tank (60L x 30W x 24H). It is a walk-around peninsula style tank. All streams or nano streams need to be mounted on the non-viewable end, alongside the overflow box on that same end. Return from the sump is plumbed across the top of the tank to the other (viewable) end and pointed back at the streams to get flow in both directions.
I will have 1 - 1.5" sand and this will be primarily SPS.
I was sort of set to get 2 6100s, 1 on each side of the overflow box on the non viewable end. But what do you think about using 4 nanostream 6055s instead, 2 on each side of the overflow box, one higher one lower? Whatever route I go, I will use a 7095 muticontroller.
Will these nano streams give good flow across 5 ft of tank? I was thinking maybe their smaller profile wouldn't be quite as distracting in this walk-around tank. Whatever streams I put will be viewable from all viewing sides? Of course it's 4 pumps instead of 2, so maybe a wash?
