4 new sexy shrimp! But wait!

i got 5 sexy shrimp from live aquaria today. my hunny bun got em for me. sadly 1 did not make it
BUT one of the females spawned in the bag and i still have babies that are alive!

the specks are the babies. they were pretty cold i assume because no one wanted to really move when prodded but now that they are warming up everything seems a bit more active. and now i am notinc ALOT more babies are moving. imma dd them to my main tank. the good thing is i have nothing that would eat them. i have no fish so they have a decent chance. i put a sponge in the intake so they dont get sucked up.

Awesome, I have never seen Sexy Babies before........what....that sounds very weird.

i've been tempted many times to type sexy babies
but just end up typing babies XD
i will try to get as nice a pic of the babies as i can so people can see what they look like. they are actually bigger than i thought they would be

Aw man, I am so envious of you you can't even imagine. I've been trying to get my sexies to breed for months! My pair won't breed.

Good luck trying to breed them! They have a very short larvael period and will settle in 19 days or something? I think.

i still see some squiggling around in the tank.
i have 6 of them and i broke even
3 males and 3 females
if i do get another i will try to make sure its a female...cant have too many babies <3 if they spawn again i will let you know they have been very cozy...all of them... i have a blog....the little red house link. everything that happens...every mysis shrimp they eat will go up there (ok maybe not every shrimp they eat )

i also have some links up on their breeding on the blog. one of the links is a thread on RC. the other 2 links are in german....and a bit of the RC thread is in german too

but that is all i have on raising them D: not a WHOLE lot when you think about it.

Argh, I'd actually pay you for those babies :lol: I've raised peppermints succesfully and these are next on my list.

Theres actually ENOUGH information to succesfully breed them. Theres one thread in the fish breeding forum that has great information, it should be on google, along with other links.

the rest of the liveaquaria shrimp died

i guess the shipping was too much....they didnt get here next day like they were supposed to
and they did look pretty bad when i got them plus their water was really cold.
