1. Anybody have a hunk of chaeto I can get my hands on?
2. What is a good light bulb to use for a refugium with your basic circular reflector?
3. What is a good lighting strategy for a refugium?
4. What happened to everybody? This forum used to be very active...

I have some chaeto. Will you be at the SEASL meeting on Saturday? I can bring it to the meeting. Otherwise I live near Frontenac shopping center.

I use a clip on light with a standard 6500k cf household bulb. I light the refugium 24/7.

I use 2700k - 6500k cuz the green plants like the red/yellow spectrum. And some types of algae need some "downtime" but it's best to give them alot of light. So either 24/7 or I do 16/8.

While it is not likely with cheato, some macros will go sexual without lighting 24/7.

I use the same 24/7, clip-on light as Michael. However, I do use CF bulbes, two in fact, over a 29 gal. Works great.
