4 tangs in a 180?

I have a 180 gallon....6 ft long reef tank, with loads of rock. I have a sailfin tang, a powder brown, and a clown tang that all peacefully coincide together, and I was wondering if a powder blue would be overdoing it??? all my other fish are sand dwellers

dont mix a pbt with powder brown, ime they fight. not to mention those are agressive and adding any more tangs after hes established territory isnt a good idea, unless added at the same time. i have 4 small tangs in my 180, but they were chosen carefully..possibly if you change the rock around etc but i wouldnt.

well i am running into the same roadblock, i currently have a yellow and a tomini tang but want to add a regal and later on as my last fish a powder blue. i have a 110 with about 110 lbs of lr. i have had mixed reviews on adding the pbt but was told if it was the last fish it could work. as far as your situation with the pbt and powder brown, i have seen both together living peacefully but only in tanks of the 300 gal. size. i dont know if i would mix the 2 in your size tank. if you can pull it off though they would definately be 2 amazing looking fish to have in your tank.

I have a powder blue and a tomini in a 4 ft 115g, and I feel like they are beginning to outgrow the tank, and it's barely been up and running for 2 years....

Two of your current three tangs will get beastly large...I wouldn't add anthing to the tank, tang wise. How about some other types of fish that you are interested in?

I wouldn't add any other tangs for sure with that mix. Sailfins get huge, clown tangs are hard to keep long term and usually get very aggressive at some point and throw a powder brown into the mix and I would say if those three are getting along I would thank my lucky stars.

What he ^ said. However, as they continue to mature, territorial issues will present themselves.
