Hey people I just bought this fixture for a 55g tank..

I just had a quick question.. Will this light work on a 90g?.

Yes it will also work on a 90g. You will need to get the correct bulb combination for the type of corals you plan to keep, but it will work.

So to add on to the question how many T5 bulbs would be required for a 90gal just keeping LPS, Softies, zoa's, and such then?

You could probably get away with the fixture you have if its only for those corals. Bulb wise I would go for:

F2B:
Ati Blue Plus
UVL 75/25
Aquasun
Blue plus

The joy of T5's s that you can mix and match bulbs to your liking...

I only run 4 54s on my 90. It keeps shrooms, rics, polyps, and zoas just fine.
For bulbs I kept it simple with 3 14k aquablue + giesemann, and 1 actinic.

Sorry I didnt meen to hijack your thread by asking that. It was just that I was just getting ready to start my own thread with the same question. Im glad to hear that I can keep them under that lighting. But I was also wanting to put a few LPS's in there also I guess I will have to see how they are looking when I put them in and move up if they are not getting enough light.

keep in mind that individual reflectors will almpst double the output compared to a fixture with 1 large reflector.

I run 4X39 on a 40 breeder and it keeps SPS happy.

ind reflectors are worth about 30% increase in light output.

a 4 bulb with reflectors is as good as a 5 bulb without, not an 8 bulb without (as double the output would be)

not to say you are incorrect, but can you tell me whare you found that information? Everything that i have ever read has implied that individual reflectors will add much more than 30% more light.
