40 Breeder LED Design

Fuses are for parallel strings. In case an LED goes out in one string and the power supply dumps all the power to the other string the fuse will blow instead of frying that 2nd string. Not necessary in single string setups but I dont think there would be any issues if you left them in.

6-8 inches without optics might be too high... if you are doing splash guard, lower it down to maybe 3".

without optics, there is a lot of wasted light on the side so we will need to lower the light as much as possible.

Any chance you have a drawing like this that has actual figures for the coverage using each optic? For example, as the cone of light proceeds downward to say 6" depth, the diameter of the cone is 4". At 12" from the emitter it's 10" in diameter. etc etc.

That would be very useful for some.
 
if it wasn't foe rc and it's members i would never have found the joy of diy and would unload tons of cash on more expensive premade units. now i have more money for other diy projects.
