40 gallon breeder Mixed Reef flow

Is it really possible to keep both SPS and soft corals in a 40 gallon? I feel like the flow I have with my mp40 keeps my sps happy but my frogspawn is getting blown off the map. Is this too small of a tank for a real sps tank? I wanted to get an anemone and feel like I have too much flow in the tank...

I have one mp40 on my 40B and run it at about 50-60% usually. My soft corals (xenia, GSP, Zoas) get blasted pretty good but they seem to be ok. I noticed that the xenia responded by thickening the main trunk and not extending the polyps as far. I see some people run even higher flow than I do and their tanks seem to be ok.

I run 2 MP40's on low settings flowing anti-sync for about 6 seconds each.

I think they peak at 50% then back down to 10% towards night, then hitting 100% on super fast anti-sync pulse to stir up debris.

My dimensions are very similar to a 40B and I'm keeping all SPS very happy.
