It usually ends between 6 and 9 PM. There is a number on the auction flyer you can call to ask questions during the auction.

There were nine 40 gallon breeders and five 30 gallon breeders that I noticed. I wanted to get in and out, so i didn't look everywhere, but there were a number of tanks and setups. I bid on the third 40 gallon breeder that went up and got it for $15. I didn't even take it out of the car. It's yours, cbcostanza,
if you still want one. An odd thing about these tanks is that they are 48" x 18" base, not the 48' x 12.5" that is more common. Guy next to me said they looked like 60 gallon breeders to him, but they are labelled "40 gallon breeder". I had to leave early, but I left a reserve bid on three more of them. If I won any more, I am to pick them up Thursday night. If anyone else needs them for sumps, etc. I'll post when I find out if I did win any more.

wow me to. What's with all the people looking for a 40 breeder? :)

What is the number on the flyer? How often do the auctions things go on? I'll be up that way Nov 18-20 and would love to get my hands on an inexpensive one.

Too late for calling the number. The auction is over for another year. It is in Akron on the first Sunday in November and while 90+% freshwater fish and equipment, it is the most likely to have a few reef/ marine items. There are many other clubs with auctions. Some of them are listed here:

http://www.kingfishservices.net/events.asp

The one in Columbus has had some marine items last time I went a couple years ago. The one next week in Strongsville will be cichlids. Cleveland Saltwater Enthusiasts Association has a fall garage sale. It was last month.

I may have up to four of these tanks available, but I won't know until I hear from the auction committee if any of my reserve bids won.

Also if anyone has a 30 gallon breeder(36"x18"x12") I would be interested in that also. thanks
There were six of those in the auction. They sold for a little more than the 40 breeders, go figure, which mostly sold for $20 something. All very reasonable prices. I got the only one that sold for $15.

It is spoken for already.

I'll try to get hold of Francis (the seller), and see if he has more he'd sell individually.

Did you ever find out if your reserve bids won on the 40g breeders?
None of my reserve bids won. My reserve bid on three tanks was $15. They all sold for $20 or higher.

Thanks for checking with the seller for me Rhodophyta.
I will check with him, but he only goes to one club and not every month. Strictly a fancy goldfish guy I think. The next time I might see him will be in December.

No. A 40 long is 48" long and about 12" wide, a 40 breeder is 36" long and about 18" wide. If your 40s are like 36 x 18 x 16 - I'd be interested in one! :)

I just got a flyer from a new Petco opening up in Richmond Heights - 5144 Wilson Mills Road. From November 10-12 (Friday-Sunday) all tanks and stands are 25% off. I don't know if they will have 40Bs, but It's close so I'm going to check it out.
