Thanks bro, I grabbed a frag from my Dad's tank. Next time you head south, let me know, maybe we can make a trade. :)

great pics as always! CAnt wait for those frags to grow out. Still cant believe how good it looks for a home made tank!

Thanks Madman, it might be a home made tank, but the guy who put it together builds lots of them, so he's very good at what he does. I too can't wait to see everything grown out, just thinking about a year from now gives me chills! :)

Nice photos! Tank/corals look awesome! Very impressive... actually just the progress you've made is great!

Thanks! Hopefully in a few months it will look better, and a year from now it will look killer! :D

Hehe! I get to see this tank in person tommorow! Eric is gonna hold some of my frags as hostage if I dont show up. If I dont show up with his superman monti, my frags will sleep with the fishes tommorow night!!

Ha Ha!!! Corals are here, and just waiting for Russ to show up. :) I'll take some pics after bit, I can't believe the size of these frags! They are huge!

Okay I got a better shot of the Purple w/ Green polyp Acro, it's not great but I can't get the camera any closer to get a better shot...

Here's the frag of A. hyacinthus

And a small Superman frag from fragglereef It's a little browned out right now due to being under poor lighting for the last month (according to their site), but in person the polyps are orange/red and the base is a light purple, hopefully it will color up...

I'm trying to get a decent shot of the Tri Colored A. cerealis I got, this frag is Huge but not colored up yet... Also got a pink tabletop A. clathrata and a lime w/ pink polyp A. sarmentosa.

For a 40 gallon setup, this tank is sharp. You can tell that there was some work done in this tank. Very sweet indeed! Love the rock formation, love the CL setup and the color of the light. For those who are going to the Jan meeting, you guys are in for a treat!! (Sorry, I can't make it. I will be in Kansas for a company pheasant hunting trip.)

Thanks for the compliments Russ! Wish you were going to be here, but I'd go on a trip when the company's paying too. :)

Here's some more shots,

This is what it should (hopefully will) look like...

Eric, the tank is looking great.

It is so difficult to ID acropora and especially when they are small frags. That said, looking at the purple w/green polyp acro in your pic, my guess would be A. horrida

Also just an FYI, if you haven't already heard/read, as that A. hyacinthus get larger you might consider adjusting your flow to make sure the center of the coral get plenty of flow. Most reefers have a hard time keeping these guys when they get larger and one of the hypothesis is more flow is needed into the center of the coral.

I have always had great success with RM, and as you have now experienced, their definition of a frag is a little different than most retailers.

Thanks Joe! I figured most tables need lots of flow especially in the center. I really don't have too much room for it to get huge so I'll probably be fraging it often. As for the flow issue, I've got a couple nozzles I can point at it from above so the entire thing should get sufficient flow, if not, I'm sure I can figure out something else. :)

you would be fine with either a laboutei wrasse or a lineatus wrasse. the lineatus gets to about 5 to 6 inches and the laboutei maxes out at about 4 inches. maybe consider getting both since they really need another wrasse so they can flash their brilliant colors at each other. but if you get one i would get the lineatus. the colors are just unreal. www.marinecenter.com has some for a good price and are always in good condition.

Thanks Seth.

Well, guess I'll show how I do my water changes... Pretty easy 10% changes...

5 gallon bucket with new SW on the desk gravity feeding the sump. 5 gallon bucket on the floor syphoning old SW out. :)

That Yongei is awesome, is that acropora yongei I presume?

I like how compact your under-stand area is.

Thanks! Yes A. yongei :)

How's your superman doing? Mine started to turn light blue at the base but the polyps are still brownish orange.

Yeah, mines more like a Bronco than a Superman. :) The base has colored up to a nice blue, but the polyps are orange, rather than red... Hopefully not too much longer. I'm thinking about breaking up the tri color cerealis at the meeting, it's not coloring up yet and figure this way we can try out different lights and see what it takes to color it up. :) Plus the frag is just too big if it stays brown. :(
