40 Gallon Glasscages Starphire anemone tank build

Tank looks amazing. Really nice job you've done there.

Just wondering, how many clowns do you have/intend to have in there? I was just reading up and found out they are quite notorious carpet surfers. Have you had any experience with that yet?

The only thing i would change would be the placement. It would be in my house :-P

My tank is a 55 gallon with a MH light built for a 90g or 120g. I have to put the light on wood blocks so i cannot have a lid. They dont see to want to jump. My Ocies love their condy anemone soooo much. My bubble tips feel left out.

Do you think the flow accelerators are strong enough to suck an anemone into them? Just curious. I'm thinking about putting them on my new anemone tank.

It depends on what pump you hooked them up to. The source of the initial current will dictate the end result.

Hope that makes sense.

I am a little worried about the clowns going carpet surfing. I dont know if they will as they pretty much stay in the anemones. I have had 4 clowns in my clam tank (same height) for a long time with no fatalities. I dont know. Hate to mess up the looks of the tank with some sort of screen to keep the clowns from jumping, but I might have to.

New pics. I counted 23 only counting those who's mouths I could see so there are more than likely more than that. I wish they would slow down on the splitting as some of the splits are lighter in color which worries me a little. They are eating well!

very beautiful. There are 23 anemones in there? From the pictures it looks like fewer than that, are more hiding or what?

Well they don't listen when I tell them to stay in the front and look pretty. They are grouped up and lots of them are in the back/in the rockwork. All are pretty much extended. None of them are hiding (that I have seen anyway).

I envy you!!!!!!!! But! I will love and praise you if you sell me one.

:) The only way I will sell them is when they are literally coming out the top. I really want it full of nems. Two pairs of clowns. A naked pair and a black/white and orange/white.

Any updates? How did that fixture work out in the long run? Did you ever figure out how to get individual reflectors in it?

Wow, that's a lot of RBTAs. How many do you think you have now? Are you feeding them anything? I enjoyed the thread of the guy who raised those. Glad they all made it to a cool tank. Some new pics would be cool.
