could i put a copper band and a pair of ocelaris clowns in a 40 gallon?

Clowns will probably ok, but the CBB will not be happy. They are constant swimmer/foragers that need a lot of space. They are a lot like tangs that need room to roam about.

Plus, they can be extremely difficult to get to eat prepared food. Mine absolutely refused to eat anything and eventually died. It was a real bummer.

i have one that lfs i work at it is in a 55 and it is doing great i feed it mysis shrimp and it eats eveything up

I would not put a copperband in a 40 the clowns will be ok.

ok scratch the copper band but it si jsut my favorite fish but anyways wat are some other suggestions for fish

clowns, gobies, blennies, cardinals, dwarf angels.......the list goes on and on, just do some research on whatever interests you and you will find the perfect fish for your tank.

I'm setting up one of these too, and my intended stock list is as follows
shrimp goby with pistol shrimp, (I'm leaning toward finding a pair of yasha gobies with the shrimp)
rusty angelfish
thats really about it, but if i was to get another fish i would probably look more into cardinals.

That is what i have. I also have a Coral Beauty, Green Target Mandrin, Two clowns.
