the space is 12' 11" X 4ft deep
I am thinking of building a enclosure for the tank proball over the top window and then having a door to fishroom next to the windows.

Dont know if I will have the door even with the tank or right on the wall.

I know this question is already a couple weeks old but...

Should I start fresh will all new Dead live rock to get rid of pests?
aptasia, nusiance brown encrusting algae, acro flatworms, alittle bubble algae?
Unless you're starting out with new corals I doubt you'll get rid of the pests. That said if you absolutely are certain where all the pests are (aiptasia, bubble algae) absolutely toss those rocks that have it...

I hate to toss the rock as im sure some reefs were damaged from getting it.

all new rock and recycled rock if needed

as for corals I am setting up a qt system for all rock and coral. All acros will be cut off rocks and put in a slow flow qt tank all non acros will be cut off rocks and be put in seperate frag tank.

All frags will be cut off plugs.

All corals esp acros will be dipped once a week for 6 weeks gradually pulling uninfested corals and puttin in non acro tank.

infested corals will have a closer eye on

All rock that is reused in the main display will dried and possibly bleached and acid washed

just got another 150 rubbermaid tub and 40 gallon tub for the rock

Basicly I am going to reset the system as it stands right now up in several frag tanks and gradually move to display after extensive qt and dipping

Kinda like I am getting all new corals and following what should have been done from the start

Sounds good, just keep an eye on the stuff you reuse. Those "reef herpies" can haunt you for life :D

I had an aiptasia problem, rock dried out for a year, re-set up of tank, I saw a couple, I did chip off the rock with the aiptasia" but every now and then I see one pop up elsewhere.

Unfortunately that tank now has a major herpies outbreak (bubble algae) no way to fix that.

Im gonna try to be extra carful this time.

Was gonna get a army of pepermint shrimp (no Feeding) and put in with infested rock

I will way options I know what u are talking about I have tried all the chemicals to get rid of aptasia and dont seem to work.

trying to line up aquascaping
looks like I will go with 3 rock piles on the egg crate pvc platform
middle will be 36 inches
both sides will be 28 inches
8inch spacing from middle to sides and 6 inches rocks to side of tank
going with 5 250watt se mh
divided tank 24inches with where islands will go
anyone use feet on the bottom of their rock to whelp with detritus?
