It's been quite sometime since they have come out on the market now and I'd love to hear your experiences with them. Pics of them in action would be great as well.
i have a buddy that runs a fish store... he ran 400wDEs for about a year... i think he is going to 400wSEs when he replaces if that means anything to ya.
thats the only info i have... sorry it is 2nd-hand
The reflectors that were available when these lights first came out were weak sauce. I think w/ the influx of new reflectors/pendants that are out now, these lights may start becoming more popular.
W(h)iskey, (Not sure why your name is spelled differently) , however do you know how often (if ever) your LFS has had to replaced the bulbs?
I don't know if I would go with that high of a HQI MH. personally I think that a 400 SE. the reason is that at the store that I work at there sps tank is 150 with 2 400 SE and the corals over time fade in color. I think that the red in the bulbs gets to hot for the coral and bleaches them. with our other sps tank that has 4 250 HQI's over it and the color is grate. both have vary good water quality etc.. so for any thing under a 30 inch tank I would not go with any thing more that 250's IMO.
PS Project Reef where did you get the black maxima clams PM me please
Matt

Let me help you here Ali. 1 month old thread with no first hand recomendations or success stories? Also no major German or Japanese bulb makers are at the party. Sounds like a kiddy party to me. So I'm staying home for this one. BTY, how'd you do in LV.
