40b Sump design

Hey this is what we are plaing to do anyone see flaws ??
First chamber is return and skimmer. Middle will be fuge and last will be return.

Might want to stair step your hieght levels downward as you move to your last chamber to keep top water breakage? You can use certain baffles to set the level of each chamber as you move accrossed the sump.

I stair stepped my 29 gallon sump.
Here is a diagram of it.

The first is 13", the second is 12" and the third actually came out to 11", but it doesn't show it in the diagram.

Glass with glass price comes out to about the same

To your guys advice change 10" from drain skimmer to the fuge staying at 9" then 8"

You have 5 pieces of glass in the list but 4 in the drawing? Where is the other one going? What thickness?

You do not want a water fall going into your Fuge area, it will create a lot of micro bubbles, create a gap 1/3 way up about a 1 inch cut in your first baffle so water flow will go through your micro algae.

Heres my 100 gallon sump, you can try to replicate.

Decided to stick with the old design with a bubble trap in the beginning just 10",9" then last one 8"

Got the glass at dicks rancho 1/4 glass. And tinted dark gray for the fuge
