Ballpark cost estimate so far? If you don't mind of course. I know this is not a cheap hobby lol.
I came up with $1972. IMO that's not too bad considering how much I have in guns/optics/reloading, audio gear, and other fun stuff. I built a new computer last year and bought a new monitor and keyboard, spent almost that much on everything.
Yeah I guess it's not too bad but that also doesn't include my stand build but I did that all myself which is fairly cheap. I did use some better name brand equipment so that also Jack the price up a little bit but I am very happy with my build I don't think I would have done anything differently.

Right now I have the Jebao DC return pump and an MP10. With those two I feel like I get pretty good flow. My tank looks very clean as far as wiring goes. I wouldnt want to add that Gyre wire into my tank.I have an icecap 1k gyre ($129) running in my new 40 build. I have it on almost "reef crest" mode from my MP10 where it ramps up. I have it running vertically on the back end of the glass since my tank is a peninsula and the one end against wall has the overflow. I love the water flow! And for $130 you cant beat the price!

Ohhh I see. You made me really question my flow.Oh no, Lenny. That was more for BigTank. He was asking about pricing and if he didn't want to spend the money on MP10s he might find the gyre a little more do-able. Your system looks great!
How do those Live Sales work? I just stumbled upon an article last night talking about them. Next Saturday I am going to Reefapalooza NY. Hoping to pick up a bunch of frags from there.
