I have a 40G breeder plumbed and ready to enter into my system. I originally planned it to be a mud bottom fuge with a bunch of different macro's but I have been doing some research and think my system does not need the sub-straight. I'm considering making the tank a frag/fuge and was wondering if any of you have had experience combining the two.
I plumbed it with 1/2 inch drains and returns planning on a super slow water cycle from the system. I'm thinking of buying a nice frag rack, getting a kessil 360/350 used and adding a bunch of free floating macro. As far as fish, pipe fish for certain, always wanted them but that's a ways off, gotta get a massive critter population going first.
Any ideas and suggestions would be great, I really don't know what type of flow is best for a mixed frag rack, I know I can match macros to whatever flow I end up with.
