40g Breeder Stock List

40g Breeder Mixed reef mostly LPS some softies and some SPS
20g sump with fuge and skimmer

I have had an aquarium before and I plan on having a mesh top and a 20g quarantine tank All the potential fish will be quarantined for a minimum of 4 weeks and then go from there based on the fish and how it's acting, eating, and health.

I want a peaceful tank and don't want to worry about someone eating or bullying someone else.

I really like anthias and for groups they need larger tanks but for a single specimen with a max size of 3" like the Carberryi or the Randalls would a 40g Breeder work? I know they need more small feedings throughout the day but I could handle that.

Other than the Anthias I was thinking
1x Royal Gramma
1x McCosker's or Filamented Flasher Wrasse (If a no to the anthias)
1x Redstripe Hogfish
1x Tailspot Blenny or Goby shrimp pair

I want to keep it pretty low on the fish so I was thinking a max of 4 just can't decide on what 4. Any suggestions to help me decide would be great.

I considered getting a single anthias for my tank but everyone I asked said they do best in groups. Best to skip them & wait until you have a tank big enough for a group.

You can't beat the personality of a tailspot blenny, definitely compatible with a goby/pistol pair. Royal Gramma should be fine with them as well.

I have no experience with hogfish so someone else should be able to chime in.

Possum wrasses are nice little fish that often get overlooked. They are timid in the beginning but like to cruise in & out of the rockwork & around corals. They do eat pods so let the tank get established before adding one. They will eat frozen but give the tank some time just in case it doesn't right away.
