hey guys/gals. I bought this hex from reewik a few months back. I've had it upstairs in my office and tried to use it as a frag tank, but a hex just isn't a good frag tank.
Oceanic Stand, 42 gallon hex (tank is only 3 months old--reewik's original had salt creep so AC replaced it, and canopy, not drilled.
Lighting (same lighting reewik always had--bulb is 3-4 months old:
175 watt mh--XM bulb
(2) 32 watt pcââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s
Custom sealife hood.
$400
It's been an incredibly low maintenance tank even with running an average HOB skimmer on it. The corals in the hex look better than the ones in my primary display that I pamper. it must be the lighting.
I can easily throw in a few frags too. Getting ready to do some serious house cleaning to concentrate more on my corals I plan on keeping for the long term.
thanks,
casey
