46g bow

I just got this tank wondering what type of powerheads i should use and how many? it will have LR and fish i dont no where to plave the powerheads

It really depends what you are going to keep in your tank and how your rocks are setup. If you dont have a sump a couple of MJ 1200's would be plenty for sofities and LPS.
I had an HK 1 on the left side of the tank, a MJ1200 on the back and a rio1700 return pump from the sump on the back also pointing to the right side of the tank.

When I had my 46g bow, all I had was a couple MJ 1200's.

You may also want to look into the Hydor Koralias. I like them much better than the Maxijets, and they aren't much more expensive. With a tank that size, I'd get 2 Koralia-2s at a minimum. The 3s would no doubt work out just fine as well, but I'd probably get a 3rd or 4th Korlaia-2 if you need more flow and position them in opposite corners.

For a FOWLR, two K1s would be adequate.
