- Pair of dwarf angels. (Centropyge sp.)

- Pair of orchid dottybacks. (Pseudochromis fridmani)
- One sunburst anthias. (Serranocirrhitus latus)
- 5-6 Threadfin cardinals. (Apogon leptacanthus)
- Shrimp goby pair.
- Starcki Damsel. (Chrysiptera starcki)
- Prognathodes Butterflyfish. (Prognathodes sp.)
- Pair of coral banded shrimp.
It is a lot, I know and those were all just suggestions. But it depends what kind of tank it is, if it is a reef or fish only. Also the maintenance schedule.
I am usually not big on coral banded shrimp with other shrimp, but I love their long antenna.
Also not many of the fish I mentioned are very large or active. The butterfly would be the biggest and most active fish, depending on what Centropyge species was selected. And the damsel could probably left out.

Tagging along as I have a 40 breeder (45 gallons) that I only have 1 female clown in at the moment. I am already pretty set on getting a flame hawk (or maybe a pair) but I originally wanted a pair of Dwarf Angles. I backed off that idea because I didn't think I had enough space. I would almost forgoe the hawk and just get the par of DA's to keep with my clown and call it a day if it were possible to keep a pair of DA's successfully in my tank. Anyone had any success with a pair in this size tank? Sorry to hijack jay02483.

I don't think a flame hawk would interfer at all with your desire to keep a pair of dwarf angels - potters, like the one in your avatar, would be nice
You have no idea how happy I am to hear this. And yes, a pair of Potter's would be the bee's knees
. So 5 fish total (DA pair, Hawk pair, clown). Almost seems unfair to my clown not to have a mate. Maybe I will go with another clown and only do one hawk? 6 fish just seems like too much. So many possibilities :bounce3:. Thanks again.

ok here r my plans im redoing my tank that my parents kinda screwed up...(dont live at home)--->im planning on a 46gal tank i got a c-360 canister filter a octopus hob 1000ss i got like 50 lbs of liverock around half of it is cured..i got my 2 clowns in my 15gal qt tank with a couple hermits and a couple snails and an emerald crab. i just want a couple suggestions its going to be a reef tank mostly likely mixed. im experience with a 29gal and a 55gal...but this tank is for my parents house nad i dont want anything too difficult to keep..i was thinking of adding 2-3 pj cardinals...if i do that what else would u add...i really just want a centerpiece fish...help!
If it is going to be a reef, I would advise against a butterflyfish especially in a smaller tank they will be more likely to sample things. Plus most butterflyfish reach a decent size.
If you want it to be an easy to maintain tank, I like your idea of the pj cards, also the starcki damsel I mentioned is easy to keep and isn't your average damsel. Another extremely easy to keep fish would be a marine betta (my avatar). They are very disease resistant and they aren't very active. It would also give you a larger fish, to go with your mix of smaller fish.
I would recommend a dwarf angel but I don't know what coral you plan on keeping and they can be hit or miss with certain coral. Both of the above choices, the marine betta and starcki damsel, would work well with your clowns and cards and it would give you some different colors and patterns.

It a female B/W Occelaris. She's about 2.5 inches. Sorry again about cutting in on your thread jay.
BTW, the marine beta is a sweet fish!
