What kind of skimmer?

Right now I am using a Berlin Turbo XL. I have a ETSS1000 on order and should be here in a week. Berlin was a carry over from my other tank and is too small for the new setup.

My new skiimer and pump arrived this week. Can hardly wait to get it running. Problem is the pump head came in cracked and will have to wait until they send out another one. It's an ETS skimmer and looks like I am going to have to plumb it out of the sump.

I'm curious what type of pump you are running with your skimmer. I bought a Blueline 70 for mine and the head acme in cracked.

Goodwin9,
I run a large dolphin pump (5700 I think) runs almost at the volume capacity of skimmer. I have a large sump that has +- 200 gallons in it , so bubbles getting back into the tank are not a problem
volume example:
The skimmer has a gate valve to restrict the water that comes out of the skimmer. I have that only closed 1/4 of a turn and I achieve the 5 gallon/ week results.

Spectacular tank for only a year old. Did you cobble it together from other tanks or start fresh?

This tank replaced my 210, using the existing sump/refugium and the plumbing. Added 200 lbs of LR and some addistional sand to get it up and running. We then moved the 210 to my office and got that one back up and running. Here's the link to that tank:http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=800121

ok this thread need to be updated with new pics. lol
