So I will be moving from my side apt into my house inthe next couple of months so it's time to plan the new tank I was hopping I can get some opinions.
The new tank will be 108" x 36" x 30 tall star fire glass on the front and left side as the other sides will not be visible. The tank will have to be built in place bec there is no way to get it to its location short of getting a crane and removing some railings and a glass door. I will be using 3/4" glass all around with 1/2" euro bracing and a 3/4" PVC bottom. I was wondering if anyone on here ever used PVC. I did some research and found that I should use Dow Corning 795 .
As for equipment I have reeflo baracuda wich will be my return plus feed for my skimmer and geo reactor. Power heads for circulation not sure what type yet and trying to decide between a skimz sm 252 or sm 302 the sump wil be 7' x 2' x 20" tall with 3 7" filter socks a small refugium area and lots of live rock the controller will be my apex unit from my one 150 lighting will be handled by 5 DIY led fixtures. I already built one of them and I'm pretty happy. Stand and cabinet finishes will be done by me I am a contractor and also have a cabinet shop. Any advice will be welcome thanks
