Finally got the house built and now I've decided on a different size tank, 48x30x30 187G. It will have about a 3" sandbed, mostly SPS with a few LPS and zoos.

I'm thinking two 6000's and a 7095, what do you think Roger? The only other flow will be from the sump return and I don't plan to push that real hard or anything.

Also, do you think mounting in the back corners and shooting just in from the middle front of the tank is the way to go?

Since I still haven't had the tank built yet, anybody have any ideas on a way to hide these things somehow besides the deco rock?

Thanks.

I think the 2 6000's and a 7095 is your best bet. I think your patterning sounds good, it is a wide tank. Likely you will run just one at a time or idle one while pulsing the other. As for hiding them, don't make them hard to access, I would just stack up rock in front of them in such a way the flow isn't obstructed and they are easily removed for service. They do end up pink and purple just like everything else in the tank so they are not too obtrusive.

Thanks Roger. One more question - my tank will be viewable on 3 sides so I'll probably want to mount the streams on the back wall in each corner. About how many degrees of "swivel" do the mounting magnets have?

Thanks again.

It is about 30 degrees In each direction I believe, I will need to double check, you get about 45 with the rails and a bit less with the magnets.
