i have been cycling a new 5 gallon tank for the last 3 weeks and testing for amonia every 2 days since my inital amonia spike, which took place roughly a week into cycling. My problem is that the amonia level is staying constant between 0.2 and 0.4 on the colour chart from my Red Sea Test Kit.
Just wondered is there anything i can do to get the amonia to 0? i have being adding the recommended dosage of Fauna Marine ultra bakto blend to increase beneficial bacteria in the tank. i have 5 kg of live rock and 2" live sand bed.
equipment on the tank is blau marine nano LED light (off during cycle), TCM Auto Top Off, Heater (Tank Temp ranging between 25 & 26c), Filter media in back chamber Jbl Nitrax, Jbl Phos ex, Jbl Carbon and a layer of symec fitler floss between each.
