5 gallon softie tank

I've got a 5 gallon tank with black sand and a penguin HOB filter. My goal is to use it as a softie tank mostly, I don't think I'm even gonna out any fish in it. Currently I just have some caulerpa in there with a rock anemone and small chalice. Livestock I just have a single turbo snail and two blue leg hermits.

My main question is by not having any fish, will I be missing anything to the success of my tank? I currently don't feed the tank.

One thing for sure is your rock anemone needs fed. Your hermit crabs would probably like something to eat as well. They will eat each other whether or not you feed them, but at least it might slow their aggression down.

Twice a week maybe? Depends on the feeding reaction. If it doesn't react to the food, maybe wait a day or two and try again. Keep a calendar to see how often it has a good feeding reaction.

My knowledge of them is limited, but I am sure somebody with more experience would be able to chime in with more first hand knowledge.

I had a rock nem and I fed him about once a week. I probably could have gone twice a week but he would catch a lot of the leftovers from feeding my lps and fish so i felt it was enough. Here he is under the actinics.
