I've seen the 5 line mystery wrasse online for $170.00 - $230.00. My LFS is selling one (juvenile, not pictured) for $59. If noone objects, I think I'll bring it home.
just so you know...this fish is extremley aggressive esp to other fairy or flasher wrasses. just so you can say you were warned. I personally wouldnt be paid 59 to take that wrasse, let alone pay for it. It is a good price, but a nasttty fish.

thanks for the input reefjunkie. Currently I have 2 black ocellaris misbars and a stupid green chromis in a 140 DT...no other wrasses to compete. Do you still think it is a bad idea?
I suppose it is. Noone else bought it, so I figured he must have been there for me. Apparently, it already knows its way around the tank better than I do...difficult to get a good shot. Here are the two relatively decent pics I was granted:
So far he doesn't seem to behave nay differently than any other wrasse I've had. Reefjunkie, for what it's worth, I'm not really big on fish. They only create problems. I've been thinking of adding a fish or two, and this is definitely one of them. If he turns out to be a jerk, he won't have a lot of tankmates to take it out on. Thanks again for the input.
The wrasse seems to have settled right in. It is fat as a tick...the pods must be suffering. There hasn't been anything to work on them in a while. I'll try to get another pic tomorrow, as the new wrasse is more and more comfortable with me peeking into the tank.
