Depending on the clientele
expensive rooms need higher end stuff
I always found hotels have horrible shampoo and bring my own
I travel regularly for work and never use the hotels toiletries.
Always have my own. I suspect this is the case for most travelers.
Doesn't mean the hotel shouldn't provide them I just don't know how important they are.

I do short travels a lot, roughly every week and just hand carry luggage. Usually for one or two nights, i really am displeased if the hotel has no decent shampoo, soap etc because i just carry the bare basic toiletry. I think it really depends on the kind of traveler.
Honestly they aren't to my wife and I. She brings her own toiletries. But she isn't carrying Prada purses, more so an Osprey backpack. I don't know what type of clientele you're aiming for.
How important are toiletries when you choose a hotel ?
The million dollar question ? What is your opinion ???
