I expect the skimmer to be on a platform between 2-4" for operating height.
So, if I had REALLY thought about it I might have shaved 1/2" off the height of the sump so that the cup could spin right off without having to lift it.
But I figured I needed the safety margin for the water.
Now it's time to start plumbin!
