50 Gallon Peninsula Build (formerly known as 40 Gallon Peninsula Build)

Goby and pistol shrimp are MIA as of last week:cry:. There has been a little excavation around the hole, so the shrimp at least might still be alive. Not sure if there was a cave in or the shrimp ate the goby (does this happen sometimes?)

In other news, I got a new cleaner shrimp and my first mushroom corals this weekend during my trip to the city. The shrimp is settling in well, but the corals are scrunching inwards slightly and look pretty annoyed at this whole new state of affairs. I'm figuring that this is mostly moving stress (its about 3 days since I added them) but was curious if maybe some of the tube worms on their rock might also be the culprit to some degree.

I wouldn't give up hope yet. we thought our pearly jawfish had died and a week or longer later, he showed up again at feeding time. as our tank got bigger, rocks bigger, and fish more numerous, it got harder to take a consistent roll call on a daily basis. I still did it, but sometimes a fellow would hide until the sweet sweet smell of bbq shrimp pulled him out to join the crew.
