SO Im looking to upgrade from my 29 gallon bio cube to a 50 gallon breeder tank for my reef.
Im not sure what to use for lighting because I want to use LED's I was using eco ecoxotics panorama pro strips which will cost about 510$ for the strips and power supplys but Im not sure if Ecotechs Radion is better or even if one radion would do the same work that 6 panorama pros will do also if there is another LED that would make SPS and other corals + clams thrive if any body knows any that I could look into plz tell me
I basicly want a LEDs that I can buy allready put together no DIY sets, can keep all light levels of corals alive and calms alive and will thrive, and im looking for a price range that tops out at 750
The other major question I have is are there any draw backs to black sand? Ive always wanted black sand in a reef but I herd it will prevent the growth of corals , gets gross looking very quickly I can get clean up crew for that but are there any, other problems or draw backs I havent talked about or see and is it true that it will prevent the growth of corals?
