The rule exists to encourage our members to contribute to our community prior to using it to sell your items. Spamming the board with 50 posts in a day is contrary to that intent and I will stop it.

i used to come to this site just to get info at first. and when i wanted to trade something i realized i had to post 50 times, frustrated at first. started commenting peoples pictures of their corals, gave a little advice here and there. quickly got addicted, 50 posts went by real fast. you take a little, give a little. this website offers a lot. don't cheat, and brag about it

Just browse every topic on RC and add a comment to two or three threads and in a weekend you could easily hit 50. Just get yourself involved. Hell a simple "i'm curious about your question as well so i'm gona follow along" will count as a post. I think that rule is bogus but it doesn't matter. You'll get there.

I recall a time when I was in the same boat. I had been a long time lurker and but not a poster and wanted to sell something. Got the same advise to post but not to post without providing any content related to the community.

Making 50 posts won't take long and there is more than enough forums to make every one of the 50 more relavant to reefing than "nice weather we're having, no?"

RC is addictive. Once you get involved, you will go from 30 posts to 100 to 500 in short order.

Yep, somehow I am over 1,000 already. Maybe that is why the wife is always mad at me for being on here. I try to make my posts count(except this one), but sometimes we are all just too quick to hit that reply button and send off stuff that doesn't help at all(like this one). Have fun, enjoy the boards, and learn something.
