Yep, somehow I am over 1,000 already. Maybe that is why the wife is always mad at me for being on here. I try to make my posts count(except this one), but sometimes we are all just too quick to hit that reply button and send off stuff that doesn't help at all(like this one). Have fun, enjoy the boards, and learn something.

Joe, good advice always helps!

I spent the first few weeks in the Newbie board helping people out. I wasn't trying to boost my count to sell anything, but I reached 50 posts in a little over a week just doing that. I still stop in there once a month or so. I can only take that board in small doses these days.

I find alot of the comments on RC pointless myself... 1 more closer! I think if you spent enough time tracking the site, you should be permitted to sell. but, who am i? ...not "I AM"...

Over in our forums, someone got in trouble for this and supposedly it was something like "member for 6 months or 50 posts" I can't remember, I'll look it up.

Found it, 50 posts and 90 days.

You must have 50 posts in "real" forums (ie, not the Lounge, or the Selling and Trading forums) and have been registered for 90 days before you can create threads in the selling or trading areas. Our mission at Reef Central is the exchange of hobby information, not commerce, and the selling and trading forums are a perk for those members who support RC's mission. Additionally, requiring a minimum number of posts reduces the number of quick-sale scam artists and repeat, commercial-only entities who are only interested in making a quick buck.

I have been a member under a month and have over 50 posts... not hard (they arent pointless posts either.... they are either questions or comments on threads... and none of them are "nice tank" in the tank threads. One of the best ways to be able to make comments on questions is using the unanswered post button or the newest post buttons. This allows you to answer only active threads or threads that have not already had all the good suggestions made.
