First of all Sanjay I'll just repeat what everyone else has said... nicely done.

Secondly... Justjoe, what is going on in Germany in the next few days? I'm already over in Europe without much to do and would definitely like to hit up a reef conference in Germany if possible. Please hook me up with some information. Thanks.

If you check the date on Joe's post that post was made in Nov. Joe and I were in Germany early Dec for a reef event.

oh and I want to also congratulate you on your coral growth. Its absolutely incredible. Maybe you should get into propagation with results like that. Your rock work will be a inspiration for my next tank.

Was playing around with the wide angle lens taking a few pictures of my FRAG tank :-). Thought you might enjoy.

Sanjay, impressive growth considering the age of the tank. Been following your thread since its first post - good reading and very informative. I used your idea for live rock pillars in my tank - looks very natural. Best of luck. Art.

Sanjay,

I really enjoyed your talk about this tank's design and setup at DFWMAS's Next Wave 2008 yesterday. You really gave us some great insight on tank design, system planning and implementation. This thread is now on my subscribed list. As mentioned to you yesterday, I am so jealous of your setup and am now planning ways to streamline my setup and plan for the eventual component/system failures. Thank you so much for coming to our event and always know that you have a bunch of friends and admirers in Dallas/Fort Worth!

The tank is looking great Sanjay. It looks like you have really hit the 'sweet spot' as far as coral growth is concerned.

You need a 'Man Fish' though... :D with the exception of that one larger tang, I have a yellow, purple, and pac blue in my 125g. A school of anthias does not qualify as 'Man Fish' either. You need a dussumieri, sohal, bariene, or blochii tang... or a regal angelfish or any naso besides a 'lipstick'... (it wears lipstick after all). If I had a 500g, I would have a 'Man Fish'...

Have you thought about any larger fish?

er sanjay is that you sneaking out of the PSU creamery?

As per your definition, I do have a Man Fish. A blochii tang that has been there since Jan 2007. Got it as a Dussimeri, but turned out to be Blochii. Hard to miss it in the full tank shots.

Personally I am a fan of lots of small fish, rather than large fish.

sanjay.

Oh, so that is a blochii... I take it all back. That thing is a tank buster.

I just like to joke about it since some in my local club seem to want to go larger... much larger, but not so much because of the corals. They want 12' long tanks because they want to be able to keep some of the larger fish in their reefs like unicorn tangs. One guy has a pink tail trigger that wolf's down a whole sheet of nori out of his fingers every day. That sort of 'hands on' large fish sort of stuff seems to be what these guys are after.

I have buddy reefers that have gigantic fish in their reefs, but the pollution problem is really hard to surmount. One of them keeps trying to give me her Vlamingi that is 20".
