5017 problem

Hi Roger,

My 5017 (about 2 years old) has been acting stupid recently.

When the power is disconnected, it takes some time (minutes; at times, hours) for the power lights to activate. In the past, I have just waited it out.

This time, it hasn't come on after three days.

Any ideas or suggestions?

The power supply could be dead, or it could be the controller. Probably best to send them both in and I will take a look.

Thanks for your very prompt reply. But.......

I bought the unit used. And I just noticed that the power line had been cut and spliced. It seems that the problem is in a faulty splice.

I will redo the splice and hope that solves the problem.
