5017 sensor malfunction

My osmolator is a couple of years old and never had an issue until now. After connecting power source it pumps for 20s with level and pump on LEDs lit. After which it turns off with level LED on. I cleaned then soaked in vinegar with no result. The manual says sensor/wire problem and I checked the connections and wire as best I could without finding a problem. Can you help?

I would send it in, the problem is likely either corrosion of the wiring/connector to the pump, a bad pump, or a bad optic sensor.
