I've had a thread for this tank in my local forum but its boring so I decided to start one here. I've been reefkeeping for 16 years, SPS for about 6 now. Had its ups and downs but has been really enjoyable on the whole. Almost everything I have learned has been from all the great threads on this site so thanks everyone! I began this tank February of last year and knock on wood, everything has been going great thus far.

Tank Specs 24"x24" Cad Lights w/Cad lights stand
Lighting- Ecotech Marine Radion gen1 with TIR lenses
Skimmer- Cad lights cone
Calcium Reactor- Aquamaxx mini
Flow- Tunze 6095x2
Tunze top off w/ kalk reactor

Rock structure is a DIY using Carib sea dry base rock and Marco reef cement, I seeded it with bacteria for a few weeks, scraped some coraline from another tank and let it go to town. Its been great so far not having to deal with aptasia, pests, or any other unwelcome surprises

I'll start with a couple current FTS and then post some progression and equipment shots

Nice tank. There must have been an explosion of growth in the 2nd half of the year.
Edit: pics prove it...it was!

Thank you, yeah it was slow growing for awhile, everything colored up and encrusted for awhile and then finally started branching after several months. Although not everything in the tank was from growth, As you can see from the progression a had added a couple mini colonies but then I ended up taking them back out as the coral grew and I needed the room. I shuffled a lot of stuff around but I think I am pretty happy with the arrangement now, there are a couple in there now that I recently brought in from my home tank but everything that is in the tank now was grown from a frag whether it be from this tank or my home tank

Great set-up and selection colors of the corals. is it safe to have the CO2 tank mounted horizontally? I think I read somewhere it has to stand vertically.

Thank you. CO2 is very low pressure, no danger. They tell you to have it sand up-right because it is liquid inside and the liquid CO2 can freeze the regulator. It has a small tilt back and it comes out in such small doses that I don't have any trouble with it

I remember someone telling me that a guy was hauling a co2 tank home laying down and it started leaking because of it, almost killed him.

maybe he was breathing in dangerous amounts of CO2? I played paintball for years, in the early day we used CO2 to power the guns, they mounted on their sides, many people still use CO2 for paintball guns today (most people use compressed air now) CO2 is not explosive nor is it high pressure...but if it turns out I'm wrong and the CO2 tank ends up killing me I'll be sure to post plenty of pictures!
