55 gallon in tank curculation

hi all

i have a 55 gallon going for about 8 months, with a remoma hob skimmer and maxijet, and a aqua clear 110 i converted into a refugium. i have recently added 1 k3 and it seems like alot of strong current. what kind of in tank water movement is recomended for a 55 gal.

20-30x for softies, lps, and maybe low end SPS so about 1100-1650gph so two K3's should work

[welcome] and fish_wiz2 is correct. it will depend on the type of tank you wish to keep.

Even if its a FOWLR tank, some fish perfer more or less flow than other fish

I have close to 90x turn over rate in my 55. I have 2 Koralia 2's. One Koralia 1. A 1200 gph closed loop on a scwd. a 250 gph return. And a maxi jet mod. Its works great for me. The problem in a 55 is getting the flow where you need it

Sorry thats actually around 70 something. I keep a good mix of softies, lps and sps. The sps love it, the lps dont seem to mind, but the hard part is getting the softies somewhere they like

I used 2 Koralia #3's in my old 55g tank.

I have 2 seio 620's, 1 seio 820 and one koralia 3 in my 55

In my 55 I have 1 koralia 3 (850 gph), 1 modded maxi 1200 (2000 gph) and 3 maxi 600's that are on a wavebox. In addition there is a rio 2500 for a return. I like a lot of flow!

I use 2 Koralia 3's in my 55 gal. reef tank, one on each side of tank. Provides good balanced flow.

thx guys all i have is a few softies atm i ll add another k3 this week, should i position them on the left and right of the tank one near the front glass and one near the bck glass to create a cyclone effect? with or with out the plastic caps to nerrow the output?
