I would say that as long as you have good surface agitation and there does not appear to be any dead areas in the tank then you are golden. Also watch out for 'oil slicks' on the surface. This indicates a dead area where there isn't proper flow. It's just a matter of positioning your powerheads.

I prefer salifert test kits.

One spot that *May* be a dead spot is right behind where I have one of my rocks positioned. I might be able to fix this when I get home (at work).

I might have to get a different test kit. I had a freshwater kit and got right of that tank, and was using the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate test and I was worried it may be faulty due to it being a fresh water kit.

Currently I am looking at close to a 40x turnover rate if not greater. Im debating on if I want to buy a fuge next. Hmm (I think I have a money spending addiction :rollface: )
