55 gl sump plans

Using my old 55 gl tank for a sump on my 75 drilled tank, found alot of diagrams but one thing that difers is that some use there refugium on the end and some in the center does that matter or does one function better than the other? Thanks

Usually you have your skimmer where the inlet is. This is so you do not skim all the creatures coming out of your refugium section. Make sure to have an overflow type design after your refugium section so large groups of macro do not try to get pumped back up.

So is it would be better to make the fuge in the center.
